Kacey Musgraves is truly an icon. Her music has been in my Spotify since her first album debuted. I love Kacey Musgraves because like Ed Sheeran, all of her music is unique to her. When people ask me what kind of music she sings I lost off five different genres simply because she is one of a kind. I won general admission tickets to this concert through Global Citizen, so my mom and I were sitting in the sixth row from the front which made the concert experience all the more memorable. While most artists sing two to three songs before taking a break to talk to the crowd, Kacey has a story to tell for each song she sings. Kacey has an amazing personality and through each of her little storytimes you’re really able to see much she loves her fans and her music. She had a way of connecting with the audience and making you feel as though you’re all a part of a little concert family. My favorite performance of the night was definitely my favorite Kacey Musgraves song, Follow Your Arrow. I love this song in general because it basically explains all the reasons why you should just live your life the way you want to because you only get one life to live. Hearing Follow Your Arrow performed live was amazing because of really just solidified the song’s message and me it all the more meaningful to me.
